How DealBase Works

DealBase is different from any other travel deal site you’ve seen before. We work hard to find the real savings so you can find a great hotel deal. Here’s how we evaluate each deal on our site:

  • We standardize all deals. Hotel deal prices come in a variety of flavors: per-person, double-occupancy, per-night, per-stay… We calculate all deals assuming two guests and show you how much money you’d be spending per night. After all, you have to start with an apples to apples comparison.
  • We compare the deal price to a real room rate. No one ever pays “rack rates”, so why should you compare your deal to that? DealBase finds what people are paying for regular rooms at your hotel over the next 30 days and gets an average rate from that information.
  • We show the cost of any extra items in the deal. If we can’t find the exact price, we’ll use an estimate. Then you’ll know how much of the deal price goes to the room rate, and how much goes to the extras.
  • We do the math for you. Who has time to go through all the deals to understand what you’ll be really paying? You don’t. We do. For each deal, we find your true savings, so you can make more informed travel choices.
